Weekly Roundup - November 11, 2012

We don't mean to but sometimes our weekly posts seem to form a theme. The theme for the week that just passed? Growing Up. We're on a journey, and we're all in different part of our own journeys. Three things we need to remember are:

1. God is always with us. No matter where we are, what we're facing, who we're with (even if we're with no one), how we're feeling, and despite our limitations and weaknesses, God is always with us. Let us remember to turn to Him first before anything.

2. Find people who understand that this walk is a journey. As one of our favorite authors, Timothy Keller, said, "Find somebody you want to take the journey with, someone who actually knows there's a journey." A journey means there's still so much to see and discover, to face and overcome, so many achievements waiting for those who don't give up. Find people who won't give up on you.

If you missed last week's articles here they are:

1. Ava's scary statement in A Different Kind of Halloween
2. Roxanne's realizations about leaving one's comfort zone, paying the price, and planting the seeds for a better future.
3. Michelle reminding herself and us that kids will do as we do, not as we say.

Enjoy the articles and have a restful Sunday! Don't forget, be God's kind of beautiful.
